The strangest thing tonight... or maybe I’m crazy.

The seatbelt chime and back up warning beeps are suddenly different.

When I start the truck with the doors closed, I get the “doo doo doo” chime a few times. Did it always do this?? I swear it only did it if I drove away for awhile without the seat belt on. Or if I opened the door when the engine is on.

And the back up warning beep (when backing up close to an object) sounds different. It is less loud and like it’s coming from the instrument cluster. It sounds like it’s coming from a small mono speaker rather than prominently from the stereo speakers.

Am I going crazy - was it always like this??

loose wire or speaker not working.
check with the balance / fade controls and see which one isn’t making sound.

Mine has done this before. The one in the dash is a pezo speaker not tied into the main audio system. Think of it a back up in case the main system fails.

it always corrects itself in one or two drove cycles.

Is it the same sound but louder or quieter? Mine will occasionally switch from the main speakers to the small dash speaker like goblues38 says.

My 2018 does this from time to time. It will chime from the dash a couple times and then switch to the speakers. Two different sounding chimes.

The chimes will play through the instrument cluster if the sync system hasn’t fully booted. Have you been messing with forscan? It’s possible you changed a setting and reverted the chimes to play only through the the instrument cluster. If not and the chimes only do it occasionally at startup it’s pretty normal.

Thanks all. The start up chime seemed louder, but I think it’s back to normal. That might have been my imagination

The back up alert chime went back to normal, too.

I haven’t done any forscan changes, and balance and fader was fine.

OK I am suddenly having this issue now. The startup chimes and the reverse chimes are all only coming from the instrument cluster, even if the truck has been on for a long while so it can't be the sync hasn't booted up. WTF is going on here?
