Message: <blockquote data-quote="smurfslayer" data-source="post: 2104339" data-attributes="member: 21926">I’m glad she’s running and back home.   But I’m not withdrawing the red card for ghosting your Raptor <img src="data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7" class="smilie smilie--sprite smilie--sprite7" alt=":p" title="Stick Out Tongue    :p" loading="lazy" data-shortname=":p" />  Despite your .. um... “taste” in cars, it’s good to see the Raptor Raptoring out in the wild.  I have been bimmer/beemer-phobe since ’08 when our brand b’s abs model went out on Susten pass, coming into Andermatt.  We had a 3-4 second no brakes condition, total loss of pressure, until the fancy electronic module “failed back” to no abs brakes -  which were now at full compression, so they locked as soon as the fault hit.  We lived, but my wife and I are not exactly brand-b fans.I wasn’t really making a point about how much longer it would take, but that you already had clues that this was transitioning from “project” to “basket case”.  It complicated an already long running and delayed project.I don’t think this will end up a clear cut as you / we would all like it to be.  The vendor can say that you kept saying the delays were ok and adding work and money to the project so the clear implication was that you were satisfied with the progress for at least several months.  I’m not saying you’re wrong here, just that your expectations now might need tempering.  I think the condition of your truck at pickup and subsequent billing... disagreement, shall we say was definitely in poor taste.  Especially after you’re called to give them one last chance (which you should not have, for the record).  Based on what your video had, the a lot of work got done in that little more than a week and it was obviously rushed.I get it, you were busy, started a family - congratulations.  But this is rationalizing.  You couldn’t fly / uber / uber / fly home?  Sometimes we just have to embrace the suck.This really encapsulates it right here.  I’ve been there, and twice had to pickup a vehicle in pieces because I wouldn’t let it go as far as you did.  I was also probably a bit less patient than now.  Hopefully you’re not stuck for the $$$ to right the truck.</blockquote>
