I’m glad she’s running and back home. But I’m not withdrawing the red card for ghosting your Raptor :p Despite your .. um... “taste” in cars, it’s good to see the Raptor Raptoring out in the wild. I have been bimmer/beemer-phobe since ’08 when our brand b’s abs model went out on Susten pass, coming into Andermatt. We had a 3-4 second no brakes condition, total loss of pressure, until the fancy electronic module “failed back” to no abs brakes - which were now at full compression, so they locked as soon as the fault hit. We lived, but my wife and I are not exactly brand-b fans.

etc should have only added a few days to the build. Not a year.
I wasn’t really making a point about how much longer it would take, but that you already had clues that this was transitioning from “project” to “basket case”. It complicated an already long running and delayed project.
The fact that they fear no legal repercussions in such a clear cut case is extremely alarming.
I don’t think this will end up a clear cut as you / we would all like it to be. The vendor can say that you kept saying the delays were ok and adding work and money to the project so the clear implication was that you were satisfied with the progress for at least several months. I’m not saying you’re wrong here, just that your expectations now might need tempering. I think the condition of your truck at pickup and subsequent billing... disagreement, shall we say was definitely in poor taste. Especially after you’re called to give them one last chance (which you should not have, for the record). Based on what your video had, the a lot of work got done in that little more than a week and it was obviously rushed.
I live in northern California and they are in southern California. Its about a 15 hour round trip
I get it, you were busy, started a family - congratulations. But this is rationalizing. You couldn’t fly / uber / uber / fly home?
Sometimes we just have to embrace the suck.

when your truck is in parts and you are as deep as I was, you really do feel like a hostage
This really encapsulates it right here. I’ve been there, and twice had to pickup a vehicle in pieces because I wouldn’t let it go as far as you did. I was also probably a bit less patient than now.
Hopefully you’re not stuck for the $$$ to right the truck.

I agree with most of what you are saying in regards to timeline but that isn't something I can sue them for. I agree I pulled the truck too late.

Going to court isn't going to get back the wasted time, it's for things I was invoiced / paid for and the damages due to RPG's Negligence are very cut and dry. The reason I was able to make this video in three days is because I had all my documents in order from working with my lawyer. To the same point, RPG cannot give me my time back, but they could have refunded me and help repair the damages that incurred while at their possession. And again, they still can work toward that resolution and if they make an honest effort beyond another unfulfilled promise, I will make sure everyone knows.

Yeah, just don’t cut into your Raptor time too much. if you go forward with a lawyer, let them deal with it.

I’m fond of this saying: “On FRF we may have some users with fùck you money, but how many of us really have fùck you time?"
It’s a crummy situation but it looks like you’ve got the groundwork for a sold off road rig. Enjoy it !

100% agree man. Just glad to be moving into the next chapter. Going to get this build sorted and get it on the trail.
