Finally got an exhaust on the Raptor! We've got the roush axleback on my wife's 5.0 and it sounds great, quality was top notch, and price was unmatched. I was a little nervous about getting one for the raptor since I hadn't heard any setups in person, but went with my insticts and got the Roush for the Raptor and couldn't be happier. Not only is it several HUNDRED bucks cheaper than most others, the quality once again is top notch, fitment is perfect, and sound is just right. I was actually surprised how loud it is at WOT when on the dyno at KHC Saturday, but still pretty quiet in the cab, and no obnoxious drone on the highway.

Pics of the old setup, roush side-by-side, and roush installed....

Now the tips.....the size/shape/logo is great. The finish....eh there's no chrome on the raptor! Well other than the ford oval on the tailgate, which is getting color matched soon.

Couldn't take the chrome tips, so had my buddy powdercoat them stardust metallic black from Eastwood Company. In the shade they look exactly like tuxedo black metallic that's between the wheel spokes. In direct sunlight, they've got a bit of an iridescent metallic in them, kind of like a burnt bluish-red tungsten color from when an SS exhaust gets really hot, but only in the metallic flake part, and only in direct sunlight. Kind of a neat touch for the tips. 10,000 times better than chrome!

they're kind of hard to photograph. 90% of the time they just look exactly like the wheels since the bumper usually has them in a shadow. Direct sunlight you can see the burnt-titanium look of the metallic. These pics show them more like that than how they seem in person, the last pic is moreso how they look most of the time. Really happy with how they turned out, and glad to not put more chrome on the truck! lol

Great choice. I love my Roush exhaust and it sounds so damn good. I was thinking about powdercoating the tips as well, but now I have to have an exhaust shop reroute the piping because the National springs hit the pipe when the suspension droops out.

yeah you need to make sure the suspension is at full droop when you install it. You can pivot the axle pipe so it clears perfectly fine, or you can pivot it so it clears when the springs are compressed, but hits when they're drooped, so need to be careful. I wouldn't bother with an exhaust shop. Loosen the clamps, twist that axle pipe, and retighten.
