I've had my 2012 for a few months now and I am loving every minute of driving it. But it seems rougher off road then what I thought it would be. On the street its smooth as can be. Anyone else think the same thing?

Have you tried airing down? It makes a world of difference. I run between 20 and 30psi off road depending on speed and conditions. In general, the higher the speed, the higher the pressure.

Yeah i tried that but my tire pressure sensors freak out. I try to run about 40 in mine. I just figures these fox shocks would be much softer.

What kind of terrain are you hitting and at what speeds?

I've found that 40mph or so is the sweet spot for most trails that get a bit rough, but the bad part about that is that it feels horribly slow in this truck. Which is saying something because for a stock F150 that 40mph would NOT feel slow.

The hard part about the Raptor is that when you're in its "zone" you don't even realize it and you just want to push farther.

It's terrain very similar to texana ranch. Actually a ranch not even a mile from it. And around 20 mph I'd say.

It's like any off-road vehicle with good suspension travel, you have to go fast to get the suspension to soak the bumps rather than the truck. It's like my father in law driving his 4 wheeler at about 5 mph over rough terrain- he looks like a bobblehead. I fly by at 30 and it smoothes out the little chop with no bouncing transmitted to my body. I try to explain it to him but he still won't buy it.

Hit it hard and hit it fast. Then you'll see the beauty of this beast we call Raptor. Also, air down some like previously mentioned. Dismiss the low tire pressure warning.
