I installed the Roll-X a few weeks ago and it's great, the only problem is that the locking tabs at each end of the panel just barely grab under the rail. Roll-X sent me new rails last week thinking they sent me the wrong ones, but the tabs still only grab about 1/4" at most per side and the cover keep popping open as I drive.

I measured the spacing between the rails and it's 58 1/4". Can someone measure theirs and see if their rails are closer in?

Here are some pics showing the problem below. The tabs grab about the same on both sides. I also have adjusted the tabs to their fully outward position.

I noticed this also when I installed the roll-x (the locking tabs barely grab on both sides). I just told myself I will try to readjust when the weather gets warmer.

I had the same issue with my bakflip. I re-drilled new holes and now they latch better. Nothing that a screwdriver cant pry open but they at least hold. Might wanna give that a try...

My roll-x is similar, but not as bad. Mine stays latched, but I think they could have seriously improved the fit of the latches.

It's not bed spread. I have a brand new truck and the roll-x was installed at 400 miles.

Ha, didn't know it was that new :)

Just a thought but it sounds like a few guys have seen some of the issue you have, hopefully someone can tell you the best way to fix the latching system.

Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one with this problem. My truck is 3 weeks old, so it's not warped.

I might take apart the latches and re-drill the screw holes. But I think BAK should have made the cover about 1/2" wider or the tracks wider, because if the cover is not perfectly centered, sometimes one of the entire length sides doesn't get locked.

the rear latch plates have the adjustment screw and thumb knob for the reason.
Screw them out to make the cover turn the latch cam fully which will lock the cover properly

Ditto on having to drill new holes. Mine used to unlatch on hard bumps but no more. It's a 5 minute fix.
