they’re not a real slider because they still attach to body buckets but they at least use all 3 mounts, they’re steel, gain over an inch of clearance in height and close to 2 inches in projection out and they’re well made, I just ran my truck over an 18” rock that would have tortured the stock steps so I’m very happy with mine

Do you have any better pictures than the website with them on your truck? I'm not going to take the Raptor rock crawling, but I'd like a little more protection than the factory steps.

they may not give you what you want, they certainly protect less as far as side impacts and you lose the step unless the door is open, KHC makes steps that may be better for you

I'm not worried about losing the step with the door open. The Rock Rails I had built for my old Power Wagon were the same way, the step was only useful if the door was open.

I'm about to buy a set. Are you still happy with them?

I am trying to confirm they bolt to the unibody/pinch welds and not the frame. Based on your comment that seems to be the case. You could probably jack from there, especially where the 1st and 2nd set of mounting bolts are closer together. But a drop and hit on a rock or lock might bend up the mounting location.

I am looking at the kicker slider with top plate. It seems like you could still carefully use it as a step with the door closed, but you lose and inch or two off the stocker steps.

Ya I’m happy, stock body mounts, but uses 3, jack carefully!
yes kicker and top plate, barely usable step when door closed, much better clearance
