Rigid Radience Light Output

Was asked for this in a different thread but thought it should end up in a thread if it's own. For anyone interested in the 6 cube Rigid Radience light output here you go.

I'm sure some fine tuning of the light aim could improve on this a little.

Do you have the backlighting tied into your running lights?
I've thought about doing that very thing with the amber radiance lights

Yeah I'm ok with it. It's about the equivalent of having 2 headlights aimed a little to the sides of the regular beam pattern. Plenty bright for my needs.

I hooked the Amber back light to the aux 5 switch and leave it on all the time.

I have used them on road with no cars around, but until I get a chance to see them head-on I don't want to keep them on long out of courtesy for other drovers (in case they are aimed wrong).

I've been super busy since I installed them, but tonight I should be able to get out in front of it in a controlled setting tonight to see how they look to oncoming drivers.

I have all my auxiliary lights powered by the upfitters, but triggered off high beams. That way, even when I do run them on the back roads, they're not on when other cars are around.

Cool, looking forward to your findings. I am looking for something I can use on the road, just need more light than the standard headlights.

Sorry I don't have any pictures but here are the results. I stood in front of the truck with the rigids on and they were bright, but not blinding because they seem to be aimed correctly. I drove home (about 35 miles) with them on and didn't have a single high beam flash, so I guess they don't cause problems for other drivers. All-in-all I'd say they are a good solution to the weak headlight problem. They really fill in the sides well and look as bright as the OEM headlights it just gives you a much wider pattern.

Something to consider.

Can you share how you hooked them into the high beams? Are they ONLY triggered off of the high beams, or can you also turn them on with the low beams on (like with an aux switch)?
