What's everyone using for a portable refrigerator besides a cooler?

Tips and tricks on hooking up/installing and battery usage.

Thanks in advance!

Goal zero - more simple solar solution that is mobile
I’m looking at something similar. Wanting to have a standalone system not connected to the main battery.

I'm wondering why you can't have the refrig in the backseat (seat folded up) and just plug into the 12V outlet?

I use a rock pals generator and 100w solar cell (as back up power) and wired an upfitter line to the bed and have a Massimo CX40 cooler that I bought from Costco as a damn good deal. Paid under $300 for the Massimo delivered to my house from Costco and $180 for the folding 100w solar panel and $260 for their 330w portable power generator.

I think you absolutely could do that. A big factor would be which fridge you choose. Going the route of running solely off your truck battery look for a fridge that is smart enough to turn itself off once that battery drops below a certain voltage. Or have an excellent backup method for starting your truck if you end up with a dead battery..
