To do this on a Gen 2 truck, you'd have to add Auxiliary lighting in the headliner. The OEM map/dome lights are interiors and are soldered in making them non-serviceable.

We use the Baja Designs Dome Lights for this purpose.

Ford offers the f-150 as a police model. I wonder if there’s a part number for a red interior light.

I used to run red lights in my off road vehicles. Was disappointed to find I could not swap out just the bulbs in this truck. Our police tahoes and explorers didn't have OE red lights. Those were aftermarket units that were wired in after the fact. If there is an optional part number, bet many of us would love to have it!
