This happened to a friend of mine a few years ago, I think he had a 2010 Platinum at the time.  Driving highway speeds then all of the sudden it downshifted which caused the rear wheels to start skidding.  He went for a few loops on the highway but didn’t hit anything.  He said it happened so fast
