My ‘18 is babied, but averages 18 mpg on highway at 75mph, about 16 mpg in Burbs which is mix of road speeds. If I run 87-octane on highway mileage drops a bit, but normally only use 93-octane.

So I ordered a 22 801a (35s) back on December 2nd 2021. My salesman just informed me I'm getting a truck (should have my VIN soon)
With all the production drama with Ford I ordered a TRX which only took 35 days for me to get and I love it. I'm considering selling it and getting my Raptor.
There are two reasons I'm considering the raptor over my TRX.
Gas mileage
Torsen diff up front.
I'm averaging 12.5-12.9 around town and 14.3 on the highway. It's not horrible bc I have a work truck so my TRX isn't a daily commuter.
I figured the torsen diff would provide better traction in the snow than the TRX open front end.
What are your thoughts and what are you getting for gas mileage in your Gen 3s?
Why do we bother discussing MPG on trucks like this. PatheticSo I ordered a 22 801a (35s) back on December 2nd 2021. My salesman just informed me I'm getting a truck (should have my VIN soon)

Not providing at least a regional address on your moniker provides no context for those waiting for their trucks nationwide, so without your particular locale your info and/or opinion is without value. That's great. I ordered 12-28 and my zone rep said looking like a 23.
Last trip driving my daughter from Central NJ to college in Ann Arbor MI (August 2021) I got 20.5 MPG on I-80. Hills in western PA hurt, flatlands of those parts of OH and MI help. Contrast when I picked her up when school closed ~Thanksgiving 2020 due to the pandemic, when I got maybe 17.5 MPG returning home. One would think that cold weather would enhance turbo (though no turbo involved at steady highway speeds) and just provide more dense air in general =more O2. Believe the culprit is the oxygenated fuel forced on us in "winter". My mileage is consistently better by 2-3 MPG on summer gas.I don’t drive it crazy either. In fact, my commute to & from work is about 27 miles (each way)…95% hwy. I’m in no hurry to get to work nor am I in a hurry to get home. So just feathering the gas pedal, I get descent gas mileage. My last few fill-ups (DTE) have been pretty high and I intend to keep it there.
Now, don’t let granny mode fool you cause I will calmly exit “granny mode” if need be.
