That looks awesome, I gotta make it out to a place like this soon!

Right on Fordwop! Thanks for the video

No worries, it was a blast. The only thing I would do different next time is painters tape the truck. Took 5 hours getting out the scratches.

Where near Barstow was this? I live in Barstow and dont remember a flat lake bed that big...

Its out past Afton canyon. I think its called Soda lake and its east of Baker. Honestly the trail is easy to find and stay on once you find your way through the bad lands. Its the first time I've ever done the Mojave trail and the only thing I can say is get a gps for the first section. We kept taking the wrong trail, back tracking and everything. 5 miles took us over an hour. You should do it if you haven't already, its a blast. The terrain is constantly changing and now that I've pre-ran it, theres a bunch of sections where we could have up the pace.

We really need to get a group together and head out there. Its a little lonely when your by yourselves.

My Buddy has the GPS track if you need it.

Oh ya forgot to mention I bought an extra ****** wheel and tire for trip. Its the same size as the stock tires and the tread has about 35% treadlife left. Makes for a good second spare. If anyone in CA every needs to borrow it for a trip let me know. The only thing I would ask is if you have to use and end up popping it or breaking the wheel, just help me replace with something similar...

That's the exact spot, It's the perfect terrain for this truck. As you know living in Barstow the woops just eat this thing alive. But this was the perfect pre-running trails for our trucks. My favorite part of the section you guys got to see was the part after the dry lake. It was nice and soft with just the right amount rough stuff.

Let's get this organized, it would be a blast.

Did you run the whole trail?

I heard it's a 2 day deal to run the whole thing.

It's on my list of things to do

Whole trail,

Started at afton canyon around 9am and got into Laughlin around 3pm, just around six hours. No time for site seeing or camping when the tables are waiting for me at the other end. But I should have camped, it would of been a hell of a lot cheaper than that dam casino was.:peace:
