While I haven't taken delivery of my October build Raptor yet & I've never owned a Raptor before (Super Duty only so far), I've been spending a decent amount of time trying to find additional lighting options given the lack of factory fog lamps. I've always appreciated fog lamps in conditions they were designed for - especially on the tight backroads where I live where the centerline is almost invisible in certain weather.

While there was ONE post from this year's SEMA with a fog/flood lamp integrated into the bumper cutouts on the Raptor that actually looked GOOD - I cannot find them anywhere for purchase. The look of aftermarket bumpers with integrated light bars hasn't grown on me yet. I REALLY like the look of the Rigid Industries RDS Roof Lightbar - but worry about what I would assume be introducing a good deal of wind noise (and certainly overkill on light, but I love the way it looks).

1. For those with their 2017 Raptors, how are the stock headlights in adverse weather conditions (snow, rain, fog)?
2. Does anyone have experience with the RDS roof-mounted lightbar? How's the wind noise?
3. What are other folks looking at as additional lighting options for their 2017 Raptor? Both functional and stylish...

2014RubyRed,
Exactly.
A recent review of the headlights of the 2016-7 full sized trucks all had unacceptable headlights. Ford, Chevy, Ram.
The Honda Ridgeline was accceptable.
While LED's are improving they still haven't reached the ability to project usable light at any distance. They'll blind you up close but 1,000 feet out and the light is virtually worthless. HID still rules for distance.
Also in general the larger the reflector area, the better the light output. That's why a 50 watt HID/LED/Halogen light with a 4 inch reflector has less light output than the same light with a larger 6 inch or 8 inch reflector surface. The F-150's headlights may be stylish, but the small reflector surface area limits output....

Had my Gen2 for 3 days, the HID are much better on the Gen 1 than these LEDs... in my opinion.

i have a 54" RDS on my 2012, and the wind noise is pretty bad. I think if i had it to do over again, Id have went a different route. The performance of the light is spectacular, but for day to day, I almost want to wear earplugs with all the noise.

Great honest feedback - thanks!
