This is the maiden voyage of our new Raptor Expeditions off road adventure company. We are excited to start off the year with one of our favorite trails. You can expect to get a taste of everything the desert has to offer on this run. You will also get to see how capable your Ford Raptor really is. We will show you how to utilize the features of the Raptor, such as the Off Road Mode, Rear Locker, Advance-trak, 4 Wheel Drive, etc. We’ll also give advice on off road driving techniques and tips to better your off road driving ability. Not only will you have the help and guidance of our Raptor Expeditions crew, you will also learn from fellow Raptor owners. You’ll talk about what works and what doesn’t, what products help better your truck for what you like to do, different driving techniques etc. We encourage you to get to know everyone that comes along; you never know who you will meet.
Weeks before the event, the Raptor Expeditions staff will pre run the course both to and from Barstow to Las vegas and plot the trail on the GPS units. From there, we will set up all logistics such as emergency contacts, fuel stops, points of interest and hotel reservations. Raptor Expeditions will set up a group discounted rate at the Hard Rock Hotel, but you are responsible for making your own reservation. On the day of the run we will all meet at a predetermine destination for a meet and greet and a driver meeting. Please make sure you have eaten breakfast and your Raptor is fueled up before the meeting. At the drivers meeting all legal paper work, contact lanyards and “Oakley trial bags” will be distributed. The RE staff will look over your Raptor for any safety concerns, apply numbered decals and go over GPS and radio usage. As we depart for our expedition run we will perform a radio check and make sure all GPS units are functioning properly. The entire group will convoy together to the beginning of the trial were we will make our last stop to air down tires and secure any loose items before starting the run.
On the run Raptor Expeditions provides a lead Raptor Expeditions Raptor that will take point and guide the way. A second Raptor Expeditions Raptor will follow from behind with 2 experienced mechanics and spare OE raptor parts. The mechanics are there to aid you in any way they can from a fixing flat tires to good trail advice. Raptor Expeditions vehicles carry factory spare parts, tools, vehicle fluids, first aid kits, a satellite phone, satellite trackers, water and emergency information. The Raptor Expeditions group will also be accompanied by a support truck that paces us road side equipped with a 25’ trailer and larger shop tool and equipment. The chase truck is also a great place to put your over night bags or any other items you don’t want to take on the trail. Upon arrival at the Hard Rock Hotel you can check in to room and freshen up before heading down to the awards dinners. The awards dinner food will be catered by PF Chang’s courtesy of Raptor Expeditions. Raptor Expeditions awards will be handed out after the feast followed by the sponsoring vendor raffle prizes (see awards and prizes)and a slide show of the day’s events. Don’t stay up to late because day 2 comes fast and you need all your wits about you for the adventure home. Day 2 meeting time is 9:00am sharp with trucks fueled and bellies fed at the side parking lot of the Hard Rock Hotel (see map) We will have a quick drivers meeting and hit the trail back to Barstow Ca.

Miles- 400 Estimated total miles.
Terrain - Graded roads, sand washes, rock trails, lake beds, steep inclines and down grades.
Driving Ability - level 2. Beginner to Intermediate.
Accommodations- Hard Rock Hotel. We will pre-book the hotel and get a group rate for the night. This discount will be e-mailed to you.

Oakley Trail Bag- This includes swag from Monster Energy, T- shirts from various sponsoring vendors, hats, lanyards, Oakley sun glasses, vendor stickers, contact info, etc.
Driver awards - 3 Event awards.
Vendor prizes - Over $5,000.00 in prize give aways from sponsoring vendors: Monster Energy, General Tire, Method Wheels, Oakley, Vision X, Volant Intakes, Azuinia Tequila, Lock Straps.
