Figured I would create a separate thread to discuss all the options for RA Lodging. Went through several of the RA Threads and getting the idea that the hotel they recommend isn't great (mainly noise). leaning towards the Grand American Hotel in SLC. Any other recommendations? especially if the wife is coming and want's to do things? Is Park City and option or too far?

My wife came and we did Park City, stayed at the Walldorf Astoria property there...very nice, and not crazy expensive out of ski season (I went in September of 2018). We both went to the night-before dinner, and then I drove back over for the event the next day. If I had to do over, I'd do the same thing, especially with the wife.

I booked the Grand American. Looking forward to it!

You’ll be pleased, it’s a beautiful place. I get out to Salt Lake about once a month, and the Grand American is one of my favorite places to grab breakfast. They make an excellent Egg Benedict.

If you’re looking for a decent micro brewery/ restaurant, check out Red Rocks while you’re there.

Going to RA later this year. The Grand America is really the only good option, and pretty cheap compared to big cities. Booked it for 2 nights.
SLC has crap options for hotels, and is a pretty boring place unless you're there for a brief visit. There are really no nice options in Tooele.

I’ve stayed at the Marriott and it was decent. It’s located amongst an outdoor shopping mall. Also, about 20 minutes south there’s a pretty cool two story sporting goods store called Schiels that has just about everything.

My girlfriend and I went in August of ‘18 and also stayed at the Waldorf Astoria in Park City. We took a few days and even drove down to Moab for the day one day. She spent the day in spa at the hotel the day I was in the class. If I upgrade Raptors when the Gen 3 comes out and do RA again, I will do it he same way again. It’s an easy drive of less than an hour to Tooele from Park City.

Grand America or Little America....they are owned by the same company. I just stayed at Grand this weekend. They are both nice and you can’t go wrong with either one. Ive been staying at Little America since I was about 12 and I am 48 now.
