Eh... the size of the raptor aint for all... The width of the truck can be fun to deal with. I just park it as far away as I can from all others no matter where I am at... If there isnt enough room I have used the curb and made it look like I cant drive!!! understandable that you are a bit frustrated but give it more time... how many people will walk up to you driving that fj or that jeep??? they are all around the thing I like the best about the raptor is there arent lots of em around and I like being different...

Not all of us find that random people walking up to us (Raptor owners or any other more than "normal" car owner for that matter) pleasing or a pro to owning the vehicle. Just saying...

It doesn't affect me or at least the Raptor aspect of it anyway since I don't have mine yet. But it definitely does when I am driving my dad's rides. It's okay to get the "Nice car" compliment or "Sweet ride" or whatever. But when random people go out of their way to follow you and flash their lights behind you to get your attention to race... well it gets out of hand. It's also annoying when the I'm at the gas station filling up and some guy comes up to me and starts a conversation like we were best friends.

Sorry, but my more than "normal" car is not an invitation for you to come converse with me.

That's just how I feel. I can see how others may feel different but it's not that I'm getting tired of it but I just didn't enjoy it from the start.

I know exactly what you mean. My wife had some idiot almost side swipe her on the freeway doing 75 because he wanted to take a picture of it. That's the worst one so far....

Normally I'm good with it, people look a bit and maybe say "Hey nice truck man." or ask me a quick question about it but I have had a few guys who just wanted to talk for hours even when I make it clear I want to leave and I can't stand that.

Also, DoubleTap, I'm glad to hear you guys are keeping the Raptor. Like someone else said, go to the Jeep site and check out the MW3 jeep, it's pretty bad ass looking.

The next time I'm in GA and see a 19 year old Asian guy pumping gas into an exotic vehicle, I'm going to approach and accost him with uninvited conversation. :argue:

I guess that's where the crux of the issue is.. there are probably a lot of people who just aren't into talking, or at least talking with strangers so any attention from strangers would be unwanted and intrusive.

Me personally, I'm one of "those" people who never met a stranger and the guy who talks to everyone! I have my moments where I'm not as extroverted but for the most part some of my most enjoyable conversations have been with total strangers and some of them I have found to be fascinating people who have gone on to be good friends.

I have a feeling this aspect of Raptor ownership will not bother me in the least.

Oh and Double Tap, sorry to thread jack...

It was not my intention to. I just wanted to make it clear that certain things that some might perceive as a pro could actually be cons to others.

Double Fap, have you seen the new Call of Duty Jeep Wrangler? Cool as shit.:waytogo:

Jeep announces Wrangler Call of Duty: MW 3 special models

Actually while we were in Phoenix last week, I stopped by Airpark Jeep up in Scottsdale and they had a COD MW3 Jeep on the lot. Nice. Not $45K nice, but nice none the less.

A buddy of mine at work has last year's COD Jeep. It's way more subtle and didn't cost him near that much. :)

Very true. I'm an extremely cautious person and like my personal space. It's a bit unnerving to have random people approach me about the Raptor when I'm trying to pump gas, etc. Too much time spent within the "personal protection" industry to be that trusting of my fellow man's motives I guess.

Nope, no worries at all. It's all good conversation. :)
