Good finds, and this tracks with what my SM said about if he was a betting man that it is related to the tensioners. Unfortunately I guess this wasn’t enough to go on to open the engine. The impression I get is unless there is a TSB, or are told directly to do it by Ford’s engineers it isn’t going to happen. He’s more interested in trying to get a full engine replacement. As I mentioned in an earlier post he’s going to go listen to another truck tomorrow but based on your experience I’d guess that truck will probably chirp too. I’m not sure if the field engineer for my area is going to make an in person trip or not, but I’m super curious what the engineer has to say about yours tomorrow.
