Hello all!

My name is Jared. I am in the Navy and I am due to be stationed in Lemoore, CA upon transferring from my ship which is currently on deployment.

I am a prospective Raptor owner, so I came here to learn all I can about the truck to make sure I make my decision with the most information possible.. I am trying to decide if I want a Raptor or an F-150. My main issue keeping me on the fence between the two is which I would be doing more to get better use out of the truck. I will need it as a daily driver, but I also will be looking to go to the desert with it and a couple of other sand toys.

I am looking forward to learning all I can to better make my decision for a truck to buy.

Welcome to the forum!

I personally would pick the Raptor over a regular F-150 ALL DAY LONG.

if I can ever be of any assistance with fluids and filters, performance brake upgrades or anything else for that matter, feel free to pm me.

Have a great day!

Chris

Hey my raptor is my daily driver and it's fantastic! You will be more than happy with it once you're in it. Even just test driving the two trucks you will see why we love these trucks so much.

And welcome to the forum!

Welcome! I would say the Raptor is an awesome DD, the only downside being width, which makes it a little tougher in urban areas but once you get used to it it'll go anywhere you want it to. The ride is a ton better too.

Mine is my DD and I would not have it any other way. Power, ride smiles per mile you can't beat the Raptor. You could use it to haul/tow your other sand toys and it is a great sand toy too.

My Raptor is the best DD I have ever had...it does everything! Ride is nice, I can put stuff in the bed, bad weather is not an issue and I can go romp it any time I feel like it! Do it, you won't regret it! Just be prepared to spend money on mods :waytogo:

The Raptor is just something else. I almost bought a brand new f150 platinum last year but the deal did not work out at the end. A month later I checked out one Raptor and I immediately knew that was the truck I wanted. Mine is still on order but I can tell you these trucks really turn heads.

The Raptor is my DD. I've got 52k on the clock and drive it every where! I was a little worried at first about town driving but the Raptor really surprised me! Anyhow, my only real suggestion using a Rapor as a DD and living in the city, is spring for the Nav/back up camera. It comes in real handy living in a major metroplex.

Welcome to the forum. Don't skimp on the options, get one with most of the options. I did the bed extender, I would probably skip that. The bed liner is good, the graphics are a matter of personal taste. Get the nav so you don't have to mess with a stick on one when you are out pounding it on a Raptor run. The sun roof is one of those things that you can take or leave, on a fancy rig you almost want it to complete the package.
The fun part is after you get it and start the mods and make it your own Raptor.
