No shit, once I got away from the city it wasn't too bad, but downtown was not fun. I will not be doing that a second time.
back in ’07 I was riding back from Ballymoney to Dublin with the wife when we saw signage for Trim castle. Awesome, let’s stop. We were already soaked throughout, so what’s a little more rain? well... it depends on your scale.

Most of the day was between 2-4, but, magically as we turned off the motorway on to the road to Trim it was ‘hooring down with rain’, level 8. This lasted about 10 minutes or so and then, as suddenly as it appeared, it was gone. Then it looked like picture #3, ‘wetting rain’, only there was no rain, only a few scant clouds and BRILLIANT beams of sunlight everywhere, refracted hundreds of times in the remaining rain drops on my face shield. I had to stop more than once for being almost blinded temporarily.
We made the castle in a few more minutes and weather was great the rest of the day.
