"V8 powered Raptors will never be made again", said every Gen 2 buyer. "The Gen3 Raptor will be hybrid powered". Didn't happen.

Nobody really knows what Ford is going to do unless they have inside information, and if they do, they are not going to lose their job posting that info on the internet.

I believe to this day that Ford did not have plans to field a V8 Raptor until the TRX was announced and Ford was caught with their pants down with actual competition in the marketplace. Ram took SCORES OF HUNDREDS of potential Raptor buyers and flipped quite a few more from the Raptor.

This is Ford Rumor Forum after all...

in several of the GEN3 reveal videos, they state that the frame/suspension was engineered to accommodate a supercharged V8.. I think it was in the pipeline for awhile, after they realized they kinda alienated a lot people with the V6 only option..

I dont really believe that Ram had anything to do with that..

maybe it was excuses but they said leaf springs would not work with the V8 power they had in mind..

Id still be game for a dark horse powered raptor. The 10 speed should negate the need for more torque. But now that we have RHO, the 3.5 is probably here to stay.
