As has been said, you don't have to have one but it will help you a lot if you have your own Raptor to drive and measure and use for your product development work.

As you know, Raptors are not Jeeps. -- they're typically used in 2 different off road environments:

1. Jeep-like use - slower speed stuff including rock crawling, mudding, etc.
2. Raptor-like use - higher speed stuff

You know the products that Jeepers want and buy. They may or may not be interesting to the higher-speed crowd.
