Both are expensive, crowded, over regulated nanny states, but one has good weather. Slam dunk. I'd live in Bakersfield before I'd live in NYC. And yes, I've been to NYC quite a few times. Sacramento isn't that bad, I lived near there for four years, back in the '70s. It was better than Fresno. Living in Palo Alto was nice, yes, but what a freak show. There, reality is something you see on TV.
