My trucks 5/12 build and dealer told me that my vin is ok , no need for recall .
I guess I should double check with ford ?

Did it today at about 50mph, on one of the coldest days of the year. Have it on dashcam. Was slowing down to let someone in and started to accelerate, probably right when it was about to down shift.

Will have to call dealer and force them to look at.

Glad to hear it didn’t cause an accident.

I’m sure your truck is “not affected by the recall”, but you shouldn’t have a problem getting them to fix it. Your dashcam video will be all of the proof you need.

No problems here. My build date is in January 2011 - just prior to the beginning of the period covered by the notice.
