If you were given a brand new truck and were told you couldn't lift the hood and you didn't know what was under there, but when you drove it, it was considerably faster, more responsive, and handled better than your gen 1 6.2, why would you care if it had a V6 or a V8? Assuming of course that reliability was at least equal....and please don't say because of the sound.
