2013 Screw with 27,000 miles. 37x12.5 Nittos on stock wheels

Back in 2013 I experienced a busted vacuum line on my front driver side.

Now I am getting a noise of varying loudness. In essence it varies from a gentle but rapid fire tapping to a LOUD machine grinding noise. Comes and goes on its own.

Please see attached pictures.

I also noticed what appears to be an oil leak manifesting itself at this spot. Please be kind. I'm not very tech savy. If ANYONE of you guys have experience with these problems, please let me know. I don't know what it could be

Tire looks like it's rubbing something.

Isn't that the vacuum line rubbed thru where the tire is rubbing on the spindle? Couple issues going on there!

It does look like the vacuum line may be rubbing between the spindle/knuckle and the wheel. You probably need to replace that section.

If the vacuum line is leaking because it is rubbing on the tire, then the hub may be engaging, not good! Take it in and get that looked at. Make sure when you take your truck in for an oil change, that they remove the whole skid plate and not just the small square inspection cover, techs get too lazy and spill oil from the filter everywhere. I have demanded since new that FORD remove the whole skid plate and they never questioned me, not once. Good luck, let us know what they find.

Trucks still under warranty which is good. I'd take it in.

My guess is your alignment is off which caused the tire to rub on the upper control arm.

What?

Wheel/tire is in a fix location in relation to the knuckle as defined by the hub. Alignment does not change the geometry of the hub to knuckle joint it changes the geometry of the knuckle to frame via control arm and tie rod adjustments.
