found a company called TAG that makes plate bumpers fairly customized. they're in GA. taking my truck there in a bit so my truck can be a test bed for their prototype. good news its free. they cost about 900 fully loaded, better than the fab fours price of 2000. if you're looking for something differnet stay tuned to see what it looks like, they said it should be 10-12 business days, but we shall see. try to take pics as the progress unfolds.

Nice! definitely keep us posted with pics. I was actually talking to Tim at Wicked Performance today and we talked about a new bumper for me that is going to be absolutely kick ass and unlike anything on the market right now.

they are a little heavier than tube bumpers, but a lot of protection, especially since i have a low hanging intercooler i want protected. plate bumpers arent as suited for fast movers in the desert, they are more for those in the woods and rocks who are dealing slightly more technical trails. and so before anyone gets pissed, im not saying driving 80+ in the dunes isn't terchnical, but picking the right line, driving severe off camber, avoiding hazards are move indicitive of slow movers. in these are protection is more important than weight saving. each arena of off roading requires a differnet skill set and build requirement. having spent large amounts of time in mud, rocks, and high speed desert, i would like to do a build like that of KOH vs just rock crawling or biggin' or snore. i like variety and having to be more well rounded.

sorry i got on a tangent
