O.k. All,

A few months back in a thread to someone I mentioned I thought I would see a few Raptors around these parts because there are 4 million people here in the area and money still flows here in the Dallas Area. Plano for sure as well.

Just TODAY, I have seen 6 different RAPTORS, EVERY ONE WAS BLACK and a different one. Each one had its own look and mods and so on.

So lets get a PLANO GROUP together and get a GROUP SHOT! I would bet that if I saw 6 today that there a 20 locally. SERIOUSLY! I see more Raptors than HUNDIAS! AHhahaaaaaaaa. Thats a good thing.........

Well it wasn't my black Raptor you saw - wished I still lived in TX. I'd definately hook up for a beer.

I'm sorta planning a trip in fall over that way - depending on work schedule I just may get there.

Hey this got me thinking. We should start a new thread titled "What was your first car in high school?"

That way we can separate the 'spoiled ******** born with a golden spoon in their mouths whose Daddy bought them a brand new Mustang or Wrangler' and the 'started from humble beginnings and earned my own way and now appreciate the finer things in life' crowd. Guess which one I am...:birgits_tiredcoffee

I'm the youngest of 4 kids. Grandparents had a '73 Catalina that they gave to my oldest sibling with 100,000 miles. By the time I got it in '84 it was completely trashed with 160,000 miles.:upyours:

But I loved that car and I spent hundreds of hours working on, caring for and modding the shit out of that thing.

I will start it off by sayng the 72 Pinto 3 Door we had was made in Canada and had a German 2.0 liter motor. It got ****** Headers and a glass pack early on, Had the carb rigged to make both, yes BOTH barrels of the twin barrel Webber carb open at the same time, Thanks Hot Rod Magazine. My dad made the parts for the linkage by hand from a scale drawing in an artical on HOW TO and with a coat hanger made the linkages. All from alum scraps from work.

That POS would out run Camaro's of the day, the BMW 2002's, Vega's including the John Player Specials. Capri's, The Mercury one not the GM, Mazda rotory's. It even beat the local Maverik Graber with a 302! HAhahaaaaaa.

The Brat was my first new ride. I out grew it in 8 months, FOR REAL, physically got to damn big to drive unless I popped the moon roof out! AHhahaaaa. Clown Car! Bought it fall of 77! I am OLD! GAWD.

Got married in 80 and traded my 1979 Mustang Pace Car to my old man along with the whopping $175 a month payment for the Pinto which had had some MAJOR motor and suspension work by then. Twin Webbers, 11:1 compression, 200 plus HP. 2.0 liter. with front and rear sway bars, all nylon suspension bushings, rated front springs, lowered 2 inches. Can you say ROAD RACER on the street? AHhahaaaaaa. Way to many stories without a camp fire and a case of beer! AHhahaaaaaaaaa.

Wanna get into HOW MUCH YOU MADE at your first real job and what it was? I will say I started at $2.15 an hour and stop there. Did I mention I am OLD?
