If anyone has any pictures as to where they placed the mute buttons for their radar detectors that were hardwired into their trucks, could you please post them? I am looking into getting the direct wire for my 9500ix and i have the mirror mount. Also, does anyone know if any laser jammers can work with the 9500ix or if they will have to be a completely seperate systme?

I had my orig hardwire remote mounted on the side of the steering column, and the newest live one is mounted on top of the column. I like Nicks location best though

My detector is up near the dot matrix on passenger side of mirror, slightly hidden there, but definitely out of reach. If hardwiring, a little more time spent to rig a power kill switch is helpful imo. Hasn't come up, but hoped to avoid a blinking or beeping device during a chat with Johnny law. Put my switch just beyond the trim below the steering wheel, so a descrete reach and its off. Best of all I now have red ambient footwell lighting :pimp: lol

I used the 9500 CI passport it comes with shifters.. Easy install really it is phone connectors.. But I have had to cut them off on every install and crimp new ones on.. It is a good system and ticket free since 93.. I will get some pictures..

What are you guys doing for mounts? I have a V1 and don't want to use the suction cups. Just haven't seen many custom mounts for out trucks.
