Picked my Truck up Last Night….and I Already Have a Leak.

That can happen to any vehicle any make. Hoses, fittings, clamps, etc. I have a 2016 Durango RT. Same thing happened a few days after I got it home. Ended up being a cross threaded transmission line. Had it repaired and haven’t had another issue since.

From experience I'm going to bet one of the spring clamps on a trans line doesn't have the plastic pull tab pulled from the factory. The factory uses plastic pull tabs on the clamps holding them released and not tight. Someone prolly forgot to pull the tab or the tab was pulled and the clamp is still in the released position. Prolly an easy fix for the dealer. No worry. Still a great truck. Stuff happens sadly humans make mistakes. I had a 20 f150 leaking coolant at 6500 miles and the factory never pulled the tab on the trans coolant hose going to the cooler LMAO. How it lasted 6500 miles is beyond me.

This type of thing makes we weary about jumping from a Tacoma to a 2022 Raptor.

Just what tool and others have said... **** happens and things make it past inspection, or hell even 6500 miles of driving, and no manufacturer is immune. I mean I had to do a total engine replacement on brand new porsche with only a couple hundred miles on it due to an oil pump gear obliterating itself inside and spewing metal everywhere into the oil pan to get sucked up into oil system... no one is infallible

I would say u could try checking level, it's on driver's rear corner of trans above pan, big plug bolt that's 21-22mm wrench kinda a pain to get off due to the exhaust right there. Need to check running and hot in park. But truthfully if it's shifting ok chance it to the dealer, or call Ford roadside and get a free rental car while it's in the shop. That's what I would do.
