Curious, when you say overkill can you explain? I have a GEN1 and considering getting the pedal commander to get ready of the shifting stall from one gear to the next.

Not sure how the Gen 1's compare. Stock the Gen 2 imho has crappy get up and go. With the pedal commander, you definitely get rid the lag. A tune just takes the truck to a whole different level. I've heard guys say otherwise, but with the combination the pedal response was really touchy. I could have dialed back the pedal commander, but then what's the point of having it?
