I have done it to a bumper on an old F-150 and was very simple to do in an afternoon. As I recall, all I did was take the bumper off, and wash them on saw horses, sanded it as the directions stated to better help the bed liner stuff stick and a couple (2-3) coats of it and was done and putting it back on by the time the sun went down. I loved the look of it, not as rough as line-x, or shiny but still good protection.

FYI Duplicolor bedliner likes to spit after a little bit so that might make the finish undesirable.

man mine never split and I had it on for a year before I sold her. It sat outside in the sun every day too at the school and at home.
