Ordering a 2012 Raptor SVT

After giving up trying to find a black/black-red interior SVT with nav, I'm going to order a 2012. I'm in Texas and am having a hard time finding a dealer who will give me a reasonable deal. I'm a long-time Chevy guy (Avalanche) and the Raptor has me converted but I'm not about to pay retail or worse yet, over retail.

I want one with Nav, luxury package, back up camera, black/red interior, etc. etc. I don't want the stickers nor do I need a moonroof. Any suggestions on a good fair dealer in Central Texas? I don't mind traveling to other areas in the state.

Finally, any guess as to when the 2012s will be out? Three dealers have told me three different stories. I know Nav may have to be re-sourced due to the problems in Japan but one guy says he can take an order now, another says 20 days and another says mid-September.

They only offer black interior on the Raptors, unless you get the Molten Orange with the interior accents, but no red interior.

2012 Order Banks should open in August for 2012. Nav is still a rare commodity, you should be able to get it for 2012, but there will probably be a longer wait involved. I am sure any dealer would be happy to take a deposit now and order yours when the banks open up, but I would wait and see what 2012 offers options wise. I would highly recommend talking to Randy(HARLEY6LF250SDU) to get the straight story and see what he can line up for you.

I told the sales rep at Covert what type of deal I was looking to get.....he told me I was crazy so I drove to Colorado to get my 2011 SCrew. Now that I have seen Randy in action I would certainly give him a call.

Brian, if I had it to do all over again, I'd contact Randy(HARLEY6LF250SDU) to order a truck. I got lucky, walking into a dealership to look around and happened to learn that an unclaimed truck, pretty much exactly the truck you want, was coming in the following Tuesday. I didn't quite pay retail but, I probably would have saved myself another grand or so if I'd known Randy was around and been treated better as well.

FWIW; with 2011s, it's a Molten-Orange interior accent rather than red...It can look red depending on how it's photographed and color balanced for print or use on the web. I think the Molten-Orange option goes away for 2012. Also, Ford stopped offering NAV on 2011's some time back in April or early May and I believe it was due to a parts shortage. All that said, I think that if you want a 2011 Raptor in Tuxedo Black with NAV, you'll either have to find a new or used one sitting on a lot (unlikely) or order a 2012 when the order bank opens next month.

As you may or may not know, at some point after the quake in Japan earlier this year, Ford indicated a supply issue for the Tuxedo Black paint color as did a number of other manufacturers offering a similar colors. While it is difficult to believe and I've never verified it, my understanding is that this occured because the sole source of the critical pigments used in Tuxedo Black was in or near the area of Japan affected by the quake and fall out from the nuclear plants disrupted by the tsunami. This single incident caused Ford to remove Tuxedo Black as an option from their order bank as early as February but, I know I've seen indications they were still producing Tuxedo Black Raptors as late as April because two of them showed up at my dealer with April production dates. Chances are high those trucks had been ordered and paid for before the pigment supply issue came up.

Hey Brian, First WELCOME!!

I would be glad to place a 2012 CC Raptor order for you @ - $3000 OFF MSRP

The order bank opens Aug 15th as of right now. With first build being Oct 24th @ the Dearbon F150 Plant. Delivery of the 1st 2012 Raptors should take place in mid Nov/11

Now for 2012, does not look like you will be able to get the 2/tone Org Accent Int Option??? And Nav could be delayed for the early orders?? Not quite sure yet??

Nope, Until the order banks opens, no way to know?? Could be that Ford will have suppy line fixed for the 2012 Nav equipped trucks?? Ford hates this as much as Dealers and Customers do.
