I am a lifelong fan of Mobile 1. It's all I have ever used in any of my vehicles.

5W30 Mobile 1 Synthetic. 6qts. Buy the Jug and 1 qt at Walmart with a Rotorcraft Filter. About $45 out the door.

I highly recommend using the viscosity of the engine maker no matter where you live and how much you think you know about oils, temps, etc. The Gen 2 is 5W30.

I believe modern engines with all their new tech require a certain viscosity to keep certain parts VCT Solenoids, etc functioning property. Could be totally wrong...

^^^ THIS. My local dealer charges 32.95 for an oil change. Ive always been a hands on type and actually like changing my own oil but why bother when I can have it done for less than what it would cost me to buy the oil and filter. Plus I get the piece of mind that if something ***** up I have the record of regular maintenance done at the dealer.

I do the same. Mine is a bit more, around 42 bucks, but includes the rotation too.

Are you guys waiting until the computer tells you to change?.....or doing it early.

I've always changed early with other vehicles, but I know some say to run the initial break in full term?? I always feel like it is better for an engine to run clean stuff sooner.

Did my first one at 1500 miles. Had to get synthetic in her... Big believer in Mobile 1. Usually change every 5000 miles there after.
