Crown Offroad and RCI MetalWorks have teamed up to bring you the new “Offroad Edition” front OEM replacement skid plate. This skid plate was designed with the Raptor owner in mind and built for protection. While not only a vast improvement esthetics alone, this skid plate dramatically increases your front end approach angle while providing much needed front end protection. Constructed from a single sheet of 3/16” steel and finished in a heavy duty black powder coat, this skid plate is the ultimate addition to for your Raptor. If you are using your truck for anything beyond a grocery getter, this front plate is the best defense for all on and off-road hazards.

Crown Offroad and RCI also developed the new “Offroad Edition” secondary or cross member skid plate. It too is made from 3/16” steel and includes the same heavy duty black powder coat. Those mount points do not look correct for a raptor and skid looks short. What vehicle are these pictures taken on? What does it look like on a raptor?

These photos were taken on a standard F150. The mounting points on all RCI skid plates are designed to fit both the standard F150s and the Raptor. I will try and post some photos of the skid plates installed on a Raptor ASAP.

The raptor OEM skid actually mounts to the bumper with 4 bolts. That looks like it is mounting to the back of the frame horns.

@RDFTS - that is correct that this skid plate mounts slightly further back. The intent is to significantly improve your approach angle and tie into the strongest mounting points possible for added strength.

This picture is RCI's standard F150 skid plate, but provides you a very good idea of what the 'Offroad Edition' looks like installed. The standard RCI F150 skid does not contain the added bends for increased strength or the beefed up secondary/cross member plate. We are still awaiting the first production run of the 'Offroad Edition' skids to come back from powder coating. Should have more photos soon.

RCI skid plate on the Raptor looks GREAT!
