Hi guys,

So I'm new to the raptor world. Last night I removed my whole entire exhaust system from the front of the resonator where it comes into the headers the whole way back. I'm aware of "back pressure" and everything...

I love the sound. Don't mind the tiny bit of drone seeing as I have an amazing sound system :) it drowns out the tiny bit of drone. The exhaust sounds amazingly loud and awesome! I don't notice any effect in performance or anything...gas mileage went up a bit actually.

My question is...will running a "no back pressure" type setup hurt the truck at all? I have a magnaflow on the way that I'll install before my parents come home. But while it's just me I want it loud!

Thanks in advance!

Sean

I've had mine off for a long time exactly how you do, no problems, and it does improve performance, guess how I know, it took off over a tenth in the quarter mile immediately, you lose a little in the bottom end but you gain more at the top

Good to know! I could tell it felt more "free" sounds awesome! I couldn't be happier with sound. Did you cut off the ring that held the resonator to the header? Haha you gain performance because you drop 50lbs of stock exhaust! That was heavy!

The exhaust was still under the truck at that time, just disconnected and out of the way

I wasn't gonna leave it lying around in the parking lot of the drag strip

Oh I see. Well I like it. Sounds killer too! Might try adding the resonator back in and seeing what happens. Haha soo much to choose from
