Loading the truck this evening getting ready to put another couple thousand miles on it when I noticed that the interior lights didn't come on when I opened the driver's door. Got in, ran the dimmer switch as far right as I could and they came on briefly and then when off for good.

Any ideas? I would say fuse if they hadn't come on briefly before going out for good.

Been there as well. BCM or interior kick panel fuse. I forgot the number. It seems like it controls interior lights and the courtesy lights for when you open/close the doors. I blew it when I overloaded the circuit wiring in some recon SVT illuminated side vents in white

I have the same issue. Lights no longer turn on when I open the doors but I can turn them all on manually. Could you guys tell me some more about the BCM? If it's a dealer only fix what kinda $ am I looking at?

Thanks for the feedback...haven't messed with anything to this point. Am currently going down I-8 on my way to San Diego. I will cross my fingers and check fuse #4 when we get stopped later this evening...

Well, spoke too soon. The lights work manually but don't come on when I open the door. I have run the dimmer switch to the far right with no success, so I guess I will need to look at the other suggestions.

Update....All fuses check out and the interior lights work when manually activated (map, dome and sun flap). When headlamp switch is off, the dimmer switch lights up the instrument cluster up to the point of not turning on the interior lights (full right). When headlamp switch is set to parking lights, dimmer switch doesn’t control instrument cluster. When the headlamp switch is set to on, the headlights and cargo light come on but the dimmer switch doesn’t light up the instrument cluster. Finally, with the headlamp switch set to auto and the sensor covered, the headlights and cargo light come on, but the dimmer switch will not control the instrument cluster.

I guess I will take it in tomorrow....
