Hello Everyone, I wanted to let you know I have been lurking this site for about 3 months now reading some great posts and thought I would finally get on here since my new Raptor will be in next week.

I ordered a 2014 SE, Black Screw and hopefully supposed to take delivery next week sometime. I appreciate all the posts that are on here and looking forward to getting in many discussions. Of course I am new to the Raptor, (had a 2010 Ford Platinum that I loved), but can't wait for this beast to come in. I ordered it originally on Aug 30 and the dealer told me that I wouldn't be expecting it until Jan or Feb and got the phone call last week that it is due in on the 18th. Very excited!

Hope to be part of many discussions here. Located in the Boston area!

Chris

Congrats & Welcome! First mods planned?

I don't know yet. I really don't know yet. I think I am going to go with the LED side vent setup, but reading about the problems with RECON, I am not sure what to do. I like the look of the LED sidelights, but until I get it in person, I will enjoy it and see what I am able to do down the road.

Thank You Very Much Chris, appreciate it! I don't know how much help I will be on this, but once I get my truck, I will post some pics. Looks like from my VIN # I am EFA00096. I guess this means I am the 96th 2014 Raptor Made? Cool......

Initially I would have thought the 0096 was not specific to Raptors and the VINs were shared with other F-150s. Looks like I was wrong and Raptors have unique VINs.

I thought so too in the beginning, but sales guy said that it was the 96th made, so pretty cool. Guess it really doesn't matter in the long run, as long as I have one, I am one happy camper!

There is some variance even though they are specific to Raptors. The VINs do not necessarily follow the sequence of 001, 002 etcetera. Some VINs are following what you would think, i.e. mine is A00227, while others being produced at about the same time are like A19789. I only mean that mine is not necessarily the 227th raptor built in 2014.
