Last September I purchased my White 2018 Ford Raptor .
I took it mudding in “Mud Mode” had a great time .
Two day later I went back to the same spot to romp some mudd. This time I pushed it a little harder , I seen steam come out the engine hood and a couple of electrical alarms went off. Half hour later the truck died out on me. Towed it back to the dealer and they said it wasn’t covered under warranty.the truck isn’t built for the “MUD”. I showed the fleet Manager “Mud Mode”. He made me pay for all the repairs (Which I’m cool with, because you pay the play) I replaced the battery, dealer replaced the alternator. However , It never drove the same after the mudding incident . The electrical system would cut out and turn off the truck. I Took it back to the dealer and told him about the issue the fleet manager came out of the office and said it’s gonna cost me a ton of money to repair that I ruined the truck it was not supposed to be driven the way I drove it really told you that .
I crashed it the ******* truck! it was not to intense. Someone made a right hand turn into me. It bent the passenger front tire inward , ruined the fender , distoryed the suspension, shock and damage the frame . Insurance sent it to a local certified ford mechanic shop. They were able to get to the truck a month after the incident. Lol, fml I finally got a phone call saying all parts to make repair were on back order!!!
long story short, it took them six months to make the repairs , which wasn’t entirely correct at that. The engine alignment was pulling to the right . The dump hose to the turbo was not put back on. I can hear the air dumping into atmosphere on my way to a job site on the freeway. Sounded really cool but next thing you know I lost power and oil pressure dropped to zero.
I took the truck back to the dealer , they said this isn’t apart of the accident , but possibly covered under warranty. They are going to look into it further. I haven’t heard back with any updates in the last month nor will they return my calls.
Im reaching out looking for advice on what to do at this point do I need a lawyer up or is this a common issue with these trucks. I thought they were built as pre-runners for the Baja 1000 ?
