Picked up my atlas blue 22 37pp in September and decided to join the forum. I read a lot of posts here about the truck leading up to my purchase and felt like it was time to change from my 21 F250 platinum to get a little more fun out of my truck. Everything was great until tonight when I was in sport mode and got on the gas while driving under an overpass to hear the exhaust. That’s when I got the dreaded wrench and my truck lost all engine power. I switched the truck into normal mode and was able to crawl home at a slow speed. Will have the vehicle towed to the dealer in the morning. It’s a bummer since it only has 1700 miles on it and now it’s going to the shop for who knows how long with the supply chain issues. Has anyone else experienced this on a gen 3?

Forgot to mention the warning wrench was for Powertrain malfunction/reduced power.

First, welcome to FRF. Please post a picture of said atlas blue truck or you will be assigned a prius picture.

Second, use the search button in the top right and look for the Gen 3 things to look for after taking delivery thread.

Third, do you have transmission fluid under your truck? Sounds almost like you popped a line after reading some other threads.

Official welcome to FRF.

Any mods? How fast were you able to drive home? Around 27 mph?
No mods other than using forscan to delete things like the seat belt chime and double honk. I only got up to 10-15 mph since I was almost home and on a small side street, didn’t want to risk going any faster.

We had a raft of malfunctions when the ’18’s(?) had the valve cover oil issue. Truck is super aggressive at pulling power for low oil. And rightly so...

I hope you’re back to Raptoring ASAP.

Hoping it’s something simple, not very reassuring breaking down within 3 months of purchase. First time I’ve had an issue out of numerous ford trucks.
