Hi all,
I'm not yet an owner but am actively shopping for a raptor. Thought I would sign up and say hello while I read threads and take in all I can to prepare myself for ownership.
While I'm new here, I'm not new to forums and car communities, although despite my last name (Ford) I have always been a mopar guy. As it is I'm looking forward to seeinging my garage full of a new raptor and my existing Challenger SRT8. I just can't make a case for any truck being more appealing than the raptor so I'm jumping ship and embracing the namesake.
I thought I would share my experience today. I went to HB Dodge because they have both new and used Raptors on their lot (and they're right around the corner from my house). The new one was stickers at 54k and change but has a standard $10k markup. Oddly enough, they had a 2011 with 10k miles with a sticker price of $75k and change. I told them I don't pay markups and they basically laughed at me. Then they tried to be funny and insult me for driving a challenger into a Ford dealership. What a class act! Needless to say, when I do make the purchase it will not be from that dealership. I have read the threads on here already about dealers in my area selling at or near MSRP. I will be contacting them for sure!
So that's that. I'm glad to be here and look forward to being an owner in the near future.
