Proliferation: a large number of something, a rapid increase in numbers, or rapid reproduction of a cell, part, or organism.
With the Ranger Raptor, Ford effectively doubled the reach of the Raptor. Even F150 Raptor numbers are at a all time high. I forget what the Gen 1 build numbers are, but each year Ford makes 1k-2k more than they did the previous year. So yeah, facts actually support the claim that the badge is being proliferated. In the nuclear industry, we use the words proliferation and spread almost synonymous, which further agrees with the claim the Raptor badge is being proliferated.
Do I know for sure Ranger Raptor will release in the US? No...they may wait a while, or they may never do it. I suspect if they don't bring the Ranger Raptor here, they'll Raptorize a Bronco. But they said they had no plans on bringing the Bronco back, and here we are.
I think we're just gonna disagree on this one. Including the definition of proliferation furthers my point. You can claim Ford doubled the Raptor badging numbers, but going from 1 to 2 doesn't exactly qualify as a "rapid increase in numbers". But I don't care to go down the semantics rabbit hole.
And Ford also didn't double the Raptor badging in a single region. You may point out that the Raptor badge is currently in two vehicles, however if you look at the global scope, the Raptor badge is Ford's global performance
pickup truck trim. This is, of course, debatable... But that has been my perception and why I feel the US won't see a Ranger Raptor.
Also, never once did I make any claims on production volume. Production volume and badging are two completely separate points. Yes, Raptor builds are seemingly at an all time high and volume proliferation is certainly a more viable discussion; But the badge count in the US remains the same: 1. And world wide I don't believe there is a single market with more than one Raptor badged vehicle available.
But if you go back to my original question, I asked for proof of badge proliferation
in the US, because claims were made about other US models receiving the Raptor trim. That assertion was suddenly dropped, and now we're talking globally. So in summary, to date there is zero evidence of US Raptor badging proliferation.
