Hey everyone.
I joined this thing basically for the giveaway and never really thought of posting anywhere else because I'm a bit jealous that I don't have a raptor, but I do have a new 2011 Ford F-150 Ecoboost.
I traded my 2011 Ford Edge Sport in for it. I custom ordered the edge and waited a few months for it, 6 months later I wasnt too pleased with the SYNC system in it and it was really buggy so I talked to the dealership and they got me in one of these. Doesn't have everything I want, but itll work.
I was thinking about getting the Raptor hood and grille for my truck but apparently that would make me a poser even though I just like the look and am not trying to pass my truck off as a raptor. In any case, here are some pictures and I hope you like it.

Hope I don't get flamed for it not being a raptor in a raptor forum.

Ideas for the truck are there, but I just need money for it. Thinking about a lift and bigger tires but thats a lot of money and I still have 6 years warranty, getting the dealer to install it would cost a lot more too but we'll see.
Other things include a bed liner, etc. The usual stuff.

Welcome!

I don't think you're going to get flamed here. This aint that sort of community.

Love the truck! You've definitely got something many of us wish we could have; that EcoBoost engine. If only Ford would put that in the Raptor...

What do you think of it so far? Do you miss having a V8?

I don't think you'll be able to fit the Raptor grill or hood without some serious fabrication and modification to both, as well as to your truck. They're not direct bolt ons; the entire Raptor front clip and associated bits are unique to the Raptor.

I want the grille, and for the grille to work you need the hood, but I thought those two would bolt on directly, its the bumper and fenders that are different. Maybe I'm wrong though. If so, you have saved me a lot of money.

I have a mustang supercharged and all that and a streetbike, I really don't miss the v8 at all. Theres a bit of turbo lag from the get go, but the truck seems to go when you need to while cruising. Maybe when some tunes and aftermarket products come out it will help with that.
Yeah I could see the ecoboost being in a raptor but you guys have the option of putting a charger on your 6.2L engines (or 5.4L for the older guys I think) so thats always a good option for power.

Thanks for the welcome.

Ya know, I shouldn't say either way. I'm not sure if the hood will swap over or not. I just looked at a few pics and honestly I don't see why it wouldn't work. Hmm...

Haha yeah I hope it would. A lot of money though. Stock ford stuff is so expensive especially SVT parts and I don't want to start messing around with aftermarket repro panels. This McNeil Racing place sells fiberglass kits and they happen to sell the Raptor grille seperately so maybe it would mount up to the OEM Raptor hood and I'd save a bit of money.

I don't see why the Raptor hood with the Raptor grille would bolt right up on any '09+ F-150.

Would or wouldn't? It would make sense that the grille and hood would match up because they wouldn't start changing the headlight positioning for the truck when they don't have to. As I'm sure you know it widens at the fenders and not the grille or hood
