New to the forums. I have been in the market for a raptor for quite some time now. Finally in a spot to where I am ready to pull the trigger.

I've been an avid forum member for other communities and have been lurking here for quite some time.

I am torn between the Gen 2 and Gen 3!

Welcome to the family from College Station. Im a Gen2 guy. Love my Gen2. Never rode in a gen3 but I prefer the look of a gen2. Maybe the gen3 will grow on me with time but don't think you can wrong with either.

Welcome! I personally prefer the gen2 Raptors. The look of the headlights and grill is more aggressive on gen2 versus the gen3, I feel. While the new headlights and grill fit the regular F-150, I can't fully bring myself to say it works for the Raptor.

Regardless of which generation you go with, I don't see how you could go wrong. Raptors are groovy rides regardless

Welcome and good luck in whichever you choose. I guess the choice may be further decided on availability, cost and adm, or just what machine you may really just like. Gen 2 and 3’s have basically the same heart but the 3 has a little more brain at this point in time. The updated suspension is very nice too, but most can’t even over tax there Gen 2’s. Check them both out and go for it. It’s a great ride.

As long as you get an inspection at a Ford dealer and there is a good history of maintenance and a carfax, you should be good to go, it will also be cheaper than a dealer. I get buying at a dealer as well, everything can be done on the spot and there is usually a warranty of some sort, but at a higher price. Either way works out. If you buy from somebody on here, that has been here awhile, you can check there history out and see what they have done to the truck as well.
