The issue on mine is that the canister purge valve/canister vent is bad so all the vapors come back up the filler neck instead of going the other way, which gets little droplets of gas in places it’s not supposed to be, and it doesn’t take much to get it smelling strong. one easy way to tell if your CPV is bad (which is common on the 6.2) is on a cold start if you hear what sounds like a small header leak until the truck is warm. Check the electrical connections/wires on the CPV, and the CVS, sometimes it’s as simple as a frayed wire with moisture in it, other time both parts need replaced. just something to check.</blockquote>
