I hope it is okay for me to have joined the forum even though I have not purchased/ordered my new Raptor yet. Should have that completed in the next couple of weeks or so. Despite that I am already thinking of minor changes and upgrades I will be making and hoping that Ford gets the notorious transmission/driveshaft "clunk" worked out before my truck comes off the assembly line. I have been looking through the Raptor Forum and am impressed and amazed by the info you guys have already shared. Good work!

The Raptor is the first production off road vehicle that has impressed me since they started making the Hummer H1 or the Unimog. Neither the H1 nor the Unimog (obviously) would have suited my needs but the Raptor, on the other hand, is a beautiful piece of machinery. It's about time at least one of the Big Three started making a truck that is really worth talking about. Can't wait to get my hands on it.

For the record I will be ordering an Ingot Silver, 6.2L Supercab. I will be using it for the usual day to day stuff but will also head up into the Sierra Nevada Mountains in the summer to the middle of nowhere looking for that secret trout stream. In the fall I will be using it for my annual hunting trips in California, Nevada and Colorado. I'm pretty sure I won't be doing an desert racing but will certainly see plenty of dirt roads, rocks, old skid roads, snow and mud. I can hardly wait.

very cool, welcome to the site. If you are about to order i highly recommend using Costco. I picked up my fully loaded 6.2 for 41k or 600 over invoice at Serrimonte ford. Actually any ford dealer is required to sell hassle free for the costco pricing. saved about 4.5K

As a heads up I tried to order a 2011 SuperCab in Silver with only Luxury and Raptor Plus from Sunnyvale, Ford for 500 over invoice. They wouldn't do it for that price so I changed my mind on what I wanted and bought from a different dealer. The only reason I bring this up is that I got an email and call from the Sunnyvale dealer about 3 weeks ago saying they ordered the truck I wanted and would sell it to me for 500 over invoice when it comes in. I think it will be coming in soon....maybe a month or so. If those options work for you, then you may want to call them and tell them I sent you and tell them you will buy for 500 over. They may just take the offer and you can get your truck much quicker. Let me know if it works out.

Dude, of course it is ok for you to join the forum, we're glad you chose to.

For the record, FRF is for Raptor Enthusiasts.... You don't have to own one to be intrigued by them... Whether someone is a Raptor owner, has one on order, is considering purchasing, wishes they could but financially can't, or just likes to look at them.... FRF is designed to cater to all those needs. Collectively our members makeup a HUGE knowledge base, and we're more than happy to add you to our crew.

I hope you enjoy the site, and please feel free to ask any questions you want about this truck. The attitude at this site is NOT at all about flaming the new guy, instead we choose to actually HELP people.... It's quite a concept! I can honestly say that the quick success FRF is experiencing is purely due to the laid back, fun-loving attitude that our regulars have.

So to make a long story short, don't "hope" it's ok to join here, don't ask of it's ok, instead you ought to just dive in head first and have a good ******* time. You'll be one of us before you know it. :D
