Just started today..my driver-side window randomly rolls down about 4 inches. If I hold up on the button while in the up position it will also roll down. Very strange. Happened after driving in rain but not sure if it’s moisture related.

Very annoying to keep seeing issues with these trucks.

Maybe you got water on the arm rest where the switches are. Will probably go back to normal when it dries out, hopefully. On my Older e250 van the door locks would chatter open and closed when i left the door open and the inside got all wet (work van).

That’s what I’m hoping.

When you roll it up it hits the top and then backs down? That’s how I’m understanding it.

Easy fix: lift and hold window button UP until it hits the top and stays there. It’s how you set it. Had this issue on my wife’s Explorer ST and have had this happen twice on my gen 3.
I’ll give it a shot, thanks man!

Yea if the window backs down after shutting it usually has to do with the “anti trap” system and calibration. It should fix your problem. Had that happen on my. 2015 lariat as well

Hi All,

Bumping this thread as I couldnt find any more relevant info.

This is happening to me now on my GEN3 '21 only 7k miles.

Roll up window and once it hits top it immediately goes back down 3-4 inches.

I tried holding the up button until it hits top and it still happens.

Anyone else have this issue and know a resolution?

Thanks
