Hey guys, new to the forum.

Looking to replace my 08 Reg Cab F-150 with a '14 SCAB in White. I've already learned from this site that Morgan Hill is the dealership to go to. I was at the Sunnyvale office and they were pushing me on a SCREW, with a dealer suggested price of ... $20k above MSRP ... ! Looking at pre-ordering the 14' with the Invoice + $450

Some other questions that I'm still working on finding:

1.) This is going to double up as my work truck so I'm losing my ladder rack and the 8' bed. I'm only getting 15-16 MPG on my old truck, does anyone else put decent highway miles on the truck, what can I expect? ---also does anybody know of an inconspicuous ladder rack?

1a.) Is the towing capacity the same as a standard F-150 or closer to a super duty?

2.) Looking to also take the truck up to Tahoe to snowboard. I assume its a beast in the snow but does anyone have personal experience?

3.) Pulling a wakeboard boat? (boat TBA 2015 =D )

4.) Reliability? My truck right now has been pretty damn reliable, hoping to get the same in this.

5.) Typical SCREW vs. SCAB argument in my mind, but I'm think once I get into a SCAB I'll like it better than the SCREW I test drove yesterday.

6.) Is the front camera worth the price?

My friend has a tricked out Jeep that I look forward to getting dirty with.

Look forward to meeting everyone here, so far everyone seems really nice and not too abusive to the newbs (I owned an Audi a few years back and boy, they are vicious..)

Welcome! The white scab should easily fit your needs and more. You should be able to find a dealer that will sell closer to invoice even in CA.

Nope not a good work truck, its a great work truck.... But mileage will be 15 or so, towing capacity is less than F150, bed is only 5.5 feet compared to 6 or 8 foot bed, not a good tow vehicle as it is rated at only 6000 pounds for a Scab and 8000 pounds for a crew. But it gets more looks than any other truck.. The front camera is worthless until you see Noah at the car stereo company, then its priceless.. Jeeps are no fun to play with as they are much shorter wheel base and much narrower and the owners are not as much fun as Raptor owners.

See Oliver at the Ford store tell him you saw it here first... lol... He will get it done for you...

Welcome to the forum! I have taken the truck through some deep snow more than a few times and it's fantastic!
