Getting ready to swap out my Baja Designs Unlimited kit with new Diode Designs SS3 Pros.
For my BD setup I have Sqad pro driving combo's with yellow lens on the inside, Sqad racer spots in the middle, and S2 pro's on the outside that I run 24/7
Will be replacing with:
DD SS3 pro yellow SAE fog
DD SS3 pro white SAE fog
DD SS3 white driving
Which light in which position in pockets?
What makes the most sense? The inside spot in the pockets is the most obstructed (obstructed on the inside edge), the center spot is the most unobstructed, the outside spot is obstructed a little on the outside edge.
The SS3 pro white SAE fogs will be on 24/7
Option 1 (The is the setup I am currently leaning towards:
Put the white driving lights on the inside
Put the yellow SAE fogs in the center
Put the white SAE fogs on the outside
The logic here is that if I need to run the yellow SAE's then it's snowing or foggy or heavy raining and hard to see so I want as much coverage as I can get.
The white SAE fogs on the outside which I'll be running 24/7 will only suffer a little bit of obstruction to the sides up close but will cover from the edge of the road to the center of the road good.
The white driving lights on the inside will be a obstructed some on the inside up close but that will be covered by the white SAE fogs on the outside.
Option 2:
Put the yellow SAE fogs on the inside.
Put the white driving lights in the center
Put the white SAE fogs on the outside
This puts the least used light, the white driving lights in the best (most unobstructed) position. That said, if you are running the white driving lights you want to light up everything.
Option 3:
Put the yellow SAE fogs on the inside
Put the white SAE fogs in the center
Put the white driving lights on the outside
This puts the most heavily used light, the white SAE fogs I will be running 24/7 in the least obstructed position.
