New BFG T/A KO2

Gen 2 OEM tires:

Not on Tirerack yet, but it's on BFG's site.

I'm guessing they will be 8 to 10 lbs lighter than the E range tires currently available.

Tried to use BFGs site, but too much of a PITA...so are these C rated or D rated versions of the ATT IIs?

Ok, So still no D rated? Only C or E...very odd...I can see them on the site now...was not looking correctly. Was in a hurry. Still shocked at no D Load Rating...

C rated is typically found in tires for 15" wheels and sometimes 16". not really common in 17" wheel size variants.

the stock raptor size BFG ko2 is available in load range C, as well as E.

For a heavier vehicle like a raptor, I would go with the load range E personally.

If it's 99% street use and unloaded like nearly every truck on the road- I see no need for E tires. The C will ride much better and be lighter as well. It's still a LT tire so it's not like you are rolling around on jelly donuts.

Keep in mind the weight ratings of the tires however. the C range tires may be more comfy, but is it worth the sacrifice in handling? the C range tires on my light ranger are marshmallowy enough when on pavement. Can't imagine they would be better on a heavier raptor.

probably be 100% fine no question though. all depends what you want your tires to be able to do.

Yeah, I edited my answer...was typing to fast ha ha. I get the C rating, but literally have never seen it on any tire I have owned on any truck I have owned...I have E Rated Cooper ST Maxx's on my 14 Raptor now, and they definitely ride "harder" than the D Rated BFGs...was really hoping for a D Rated KO2...just makes no sense for the skipping of the D and going down to C...

Wholeheartedly agree...but...I do Tow, and Carry sleds, Dirt, Pallets, ATVs, etc...in my truck...so C rated would not cut it for me...but for many I would think you're spot on...but as I have said above...Just clueless as to why they would not do the D rated...like in the past.

also, on the off chance a street queen does go offroad, the E range is by far the better choice. far less chance of punctures or sidewall cuts (goes for street driving too, but less of a chance)

Good excuse to go up to a 37" though, the 37x12.50x17 come in a D range
